Embodiment Self-Care

Soulful Self-Care for Social Workers

If you’re in the field of social work, you most likely are an empathic soul who has great desire to help others, sometimes at the expense of your own needs. You most likely also have trauma stored in your body. How are you releasing this stored up stuck and stagnant energy in your body?

Many MSW programs, social work training programs and social work culture in general highlight self care and how important it is. However, they neglect to give social workers ways to release the difficult energies that get stuck in the body from doing the challenging work that social work demands. Holding space for others, listening to others’ trauma stories, dealing with crises day in and day out takes a huge toll on you. Bubble baths, buying yourself flowers and trips to the spa are wonderful ways to care for yourself but they will not sustain you for the long term.

What If…

    • What if… you knew exactly what you needed to feel connected to your body to release, let go and realign?
    • What if… you knew how to process the stuck emotion in your body from the stress of your social work job
    • What if... you felt valued for the hard work you do as a social worker?
    • What if….. you could serve your clients from a place of wholeness?
    • What if…..you had more of a work/life balance?
    • What if……you finally put yourself first?

WHY I AM DIFFERENT:

I’ve been in your shoes. I know what it’s like to feel empty, numb, overwhelmed, undervalued, and emotionally drained. I’ve experienced secondary vicarious trauma and burnout throughout my 15 years as a social worker. In the past I put my self care on the back burner to make sure OTHERS needs were met. I’ve made excuses and gone down the spiral. I’ve also come out the other side and developed an embodiment routine that never fails to get me centered back into my true self and puts me back into alignment.

I’ve seen too many social workers burnout and let their lives crumble because they have neglected themselves. I’ve seen too many social workers get consumed by their work, forget who they are and then wonder why they feel so empty and bitter when in fact they give so much.

I care deeply for your inner fulfillment, purpose and holistic transformation. I recognize the incredible work you do as a social worker and want to help you nourish yourself because you deserve balance and freedom from burnout.

THE DETAILS:

The Soulful Self Care for Social Workers Program is a 6 week, interactive group coaching program that gives you support to reach your goals pertaining to self care based on embodiment practices in a way that fits into your life.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS:

When you sign up to work with me in this container, you will join a small group of female social workers that share the same goals. Together, we will walk together through 3 milestones, each milestone spanning two weeks.

STEP 1: Letting Go

During Weeks 1 and 2, you will completely understand what embodiment is and why it is important in your self-care practice. You will examine your current self-care practice and explore how it serves or does not serve you. You will also set up a self-care schedule to set yourself up for success. You will embody LETTING GO and release all that does not serve you to create space for your true self to shine.

STEP 2: Developing a deeper relationship with yourself

During Weeks 3 and 4, you will be focusing on your internal world and deepening your relationship with yourself with compassion. You will embody COMPASSION for yourself and really feel into what it is like to make change through gentleness and not force.

STEP 3: Develop a deeper relationship with others

In Weeks 5 and 6, we will be focusing on the external world. We will take inventory of your relationships; where they are at and where you want them to be. We will use the power of manifestation for creating what you want to create more of in your relationships. We will then use embodiment practices to FEEL into what it is like to BECOME that YOU who already has cultivated that wanted reality.

The Result:

Once you have completed all 3 steps, you will have experienced multiple different embodiment practices to add to your tool box of self care practices. You will have a solid, holistic routine to turn to again and again to help cope with and avoid burnout.

What You Will Receive:

    • 3 group meditative breathwork sessions which correspond with each STEP
    • 3 group coaching calls which correspond with each STEP
    • Instructional and educational videos
    • UNLIMITED messenger support
    • 6 weeks of detailed tools and resources to help you reach your goals
    • LIFETIME access to all program material

WHAT DID WORKING WITH EMILY DO FOR YOU?

I learned so much about embodiment and how to really practice “letting go” through the breath and movement based exercises. I found the breathwork to be incredibly powerful and transformative. Emily was a kind, knowledgeable, compassionate guide. I look forward to continuing our work together.
